As stated in the title the prince and the knightly sword share the same blade with similar specs. so why is it that they handle differently? (I've only read about this don't own/never handled any of them) new to this and it is puzzling to me
Specs as listed on albion
The knightly Overall length: 37.625″ (96 cm) Blade length: 31.375″ (80 cm) Blade width: 2.0625″ (5.24 cm) CoG: 4.75″ (11.43 cm) CoP: 21″ (53.34 cm) Weight: 2 lbs 8.2 oz (1.14 kilos)
The prince Total length: 39.25″ (99.7 cm) Blade length: 32.28″ (82 cm) Blade width: 2.25″ (5.7 cm) CoG: 4.75″ (12 cm) CoP: 20.5″ (52.07 cm) Weight: 2 lbs 6.4 oz (1.09 kilos)

It would be helpful if you wrote the correct names of the swords you're comparing.
If I understand correctly you're comparing Albion The Next Generation swords The Prince vs. The Squire?
The Squire is 1.3 kg, the Prince is 1.09 kg. That is not "similar specs". Even the swords that weigh roughly the same and have similar Centre of Gravity can feel very different in hand - different stiffness, different dynamic properties - but these two aren't that similar in stats.

My bad didn't realize that the weight differences was so significant. The blade is suppose to be the same so I would assume the stiffness and tapering of the blade should be the same?

KoA says both taper around the same. KoA also has them listed around the same weight, so differences would be marginal.

There's a detailed review comparing these two on myarmoury: prince/squire
I wouldn't be too adamant on the given specs and handling characteristics, though... sometimes even two specimens of the same sword can differ noticably.
