Yep, Another one I have to let go. It's first gen Albion. Discontinued. Awesome, historical piece. Blade is excellent. Used it a few times to cut. Very insignificant scratches on the blade. Some bumps on the wooden hilt an pommel, but nothign of note. I and a carpenter friend custom made a cherry wood scabard for it. It's made of three layers, with an internal suade-side-out liner running the length of the scabbard. It's a heavy duty scabbard. The sword moves around in it a bit, but it's a great addition to keep the Albion safe. On one edge of the scabbard, a layer is starting to separate as the gluing is now almost 2 decades old. Never did a finish stain on it, so feel free to sand it, re-glue, etc. $700, including shipping. (better than a 2+ year wait-time with a new Albion )

Yeah, I hate Albions too. Don't even look. They only made 500 of these two decades ago. ZERO value Alas, I already have one - and mine is a true 1st gen with a bone grip and a lighter color wood...

I remember the bone handle. if this was that one, I would probably buy it. I have a first generation with a bone hilt with an Angus trim blade Gladys very sexy. Who made your blade?

Who made the Late Hallstatt one? (the one with bi-pole hilt). The blade is Del Tin, a fairly rare one so far as I can tell that was only offered in the first Museum Replicas catalog in the mid '80s and then never seen again. I chanced on this through eBay and got it for fairly cheap, IIRC, and then reworked it extensively. I got in contact with the British Museum and obtained some details on the original, including dimensions, so I first shortened the blade somewhat to be a close match to the museum sword. The cross and pommel I didn't do much other than clean up and fire blue. Finally, the grip was modified to be a closer match to the original. Note that the original had a cross and pommel of bronze, and the grip was iron. Had I been really motivated I might have at least made a new grip out of bronze, to be a closer (albeit reversed) copy of the original, but I decided to stick with the original wood grip and simply correct the length and add incised lines to mimic the original.
