Bad week, bad day, bad hour? Is there a sword that makes you feel better when you grip the handle? Not your fancy new acquisition, something you own for some time. True love! It will never let you down, and if so, it's ok.
Mine is the Hanwei Tac Kat. There are some other swords the give me good feelings too, but this one is unique.

Albion Crecy, simplistic but makes me happy. Just something about it puts me in a good mood most the time.

I have a Vigil which is very comfortable in the hand as well as an Atrim XVIa. Handling either of them is reassuring for some reason. But neither of them is quite as reassuring as a SIG SAUER P228.

Zombie Tools Sharkalope. It sits within arms reach by my desk. Just feels good to grip.

Valiant Armoury Strasbourg would be mine. It means a lot to me, being my first high-end piece that really propelled my collecting forward. Nothing quite like the certainty that the piece you have indicates what a good sword should be like to change the paradigm.
The handsome fishtail pommel helps too.

Interesting. I want to say my Albion Vigil, but even more so I suppose it is actually my Zombie Tools Deuce 2... its overall badassery and chunkiness gets me every time, it's awe-inspiring. It always makes me want to pose in front of a mirror and back in the day I watched every episode of The Walking Dead with it sitting readily on my lap. I consider it a friend. (not my picture, obviously)

I have a Swiss 1867 cav trooper saber made by SIG. Does that count?

How do I find my emotional support sword? None of mine call to me that way.... Maybe buy more....I'll find it I swear! Now my wife can't argue that I am buying swords....

Sharp blades are good to have, if Shire-folk go walking, east, south, far away into dark and danger.

Usually it's the last one I got, which as of right now is my Del Tin 1st century Celtic. I do have a soft spot for my surrogate Sting (Devils Edge xiphos) and, of course, Excalibur and Kingdom of Arms Ranger and Boromir frankensword. Maybe my Purna Darnal GGK custom Awl of the Father dagger... Hey, to narrow it down to 5 is pretty good!

Hmh, an emotional support sword collection, a concept I have to think over... Good friends to gather round you; to laugh with you, celebrate with you, and to tell you to stop being such a baby when you’re feeling down.

Hmh, an emotional support sword collection, a concept I have to think over... Good friends to gather round you; to laugh with you, celebrate with you, and to tell you to stop being such a baby when you’re feeling down. Not sure if you're joking or not about the being such a baby part, but a real good friend will ask if you're okay when he takes notice of you feeling down... someone seriously telling you the baby thing is not a real friend, he's either a wannabe bully or alarmingly unempathetic, or both. Just saying. I agree with the gathering, laughing and celebrating part, though I guess any collecting hobby or modern day consumerism of all the pretty things we don't actually need is "emotional support" anyway, always was, just wasn't named accordingly. It lifts you up situationally, which helps getting along with the daily grind and horrors.
