Good evening, Below are some photos of the sabre an xi, what do you think of it? I am curious about the date 1828, were an xi sabres still in use then, there was already an 1822 model after all? I find it difficult to judge for myself if the sabre is correct and worth considering? Regards Toros

I read one document that said Klingenthal showed Klingenthal making deliveries on ANXI through 1820), but that doesn't mean more were not made later because that same document shows ANIX deliveries only until 1805 and L'Hoste notes a number of ANIX's with Klingenthal 1820-somehting dates. The CD poincoin isn't matching anything I can find for Kligenthal, so maybe it is the mark of the fourbisseur in Paris? The "Paris" in a rectangle and the "AP" mark on the quillon are both found on other ANIX's made in the beginning of the 19th Century (stands for Ateliers de Paris)....though the "A" in "AP" isn't supposed to have a line through it...more like an upside down V. Scabbard rings look right, but the drag is a bit different than some others I've seen online..again, maybe a later style than. oldswords.com/articles/Difference%20entre%20an%20IX%20et%20AN%20XI.pdf

Yes, here the manufacturer of the whole thing is supposed to be Ateliers de Paris, and only the sabre head itself was supposed to come from Klingenthal. I only have doubts about the time of manufacture 1828, but maybe they actually still had residual production?
