To be clear, it's not us who craft this beautiful tachi koshirae, it was gifted many years ago by a friend, and no blade included, me and Zhou have no clue tracing the origin of the mountings and fittings, but if any sword friends have the information of this, please do share with us, the hand works is amazing, we just forged and fitted the T10 blade on it, not a bad match, huh?
Anyway, specs. followed:
As usual, basic spec. attached.
Specifications:
- Total Length: 116cm (45.67 inches)
- Blade Length: 72cm (28.35 inches)
- Blade Weight: 1.2kg (2.65 lbs)
- Total Weight: 1.9kg (4.19 lbs)
- Blade Curvature (Sori): 1.5 cm (0.59 inches)
- Blade Material: T10 High Carbon Steel, clay tempered for added durability and authenticity.
Koshirae (Ornate Mountings):
- Authentically crafted to replicate the traditional design of 10th and 16th-century tachi.
- Inspired by 浮世絵 (Ukiyo-e) (I think?)woodblock prints, adding a touch of historical accuracy and cultural significance.
- Includes all necessary fittings for a complete and authentic appearance.
