Ordering
Ordering from Pavel was simple. I emailed him, he got back to me the next day with a price and estimated completion time. My Initial Email was sent on November 11th, 2023, and Pavel told me the sword would be done by February 28th, 2024. After my initial email, the ordering process got a little more difficult. Pavel was responding to email about once a week, which made getting the ball rolling difficult, but overall, nothing too bad. Payment was frustrating because he only takes wire transfers, but I used Wise.com and the fees were minimal and the transfer was much easier than going through my bank. Pavel got the sword ahead of time, arriving on February 22nd after being held up in customs for nearly 3 weeks. Overall 8/10.
Fit & Finish
The fit of the sword is quite nice. The gap in the crossguard is minimal, the handle construction is solid and well made, there are no rattles or gaps anywhere, and the sword feels solid in the hand. The finish was a little lackluster, there is very minor rippling on the blade in. places, and there were scratches and black marks in places on the blade. 15 minutes with progressively finer Scotchbrite pads (Green, then red, then Grey) gave me a great finish that I am more than happy with. I don't feel I should have to do additional finishing work, but it was an easy fix. The details and brass elements on the crossguard make the piece stand out. My wife doesn't care about any of my swords, the crossguard on this one caught her eye as she walked by. Overall 7/10.
Handling
The sword feels great in the hand. It is lightning fast in 2 hands, and can even be used relatively easily in 1 hand, but I wouldn't want to do it for long. It feels very similar in my hands to my Albion Crecy. I'm not an expert on how Kriegsmessers should handle, but to me it feel just right. The handle feels great, but it does swell noticeably as to move from the crossguard to the pommel. The handle is 9.3 cm around at the crossguard, and swells to 12.5 cm at the pommel. I have small hand, and it feels slightly big if I grip all the way down, but only slightly. 9/10
Sharpness
Out of the box, the sword cut paper with ease. The edge was consistent throughout the length of the blade. I admittedly spent 20 minute on my Worksharp blade grinder to put a 22° appleseed edge on it with a higher polish. It now shaving sharp and passes though copy paper like it isn't even there. The edge Pavel put on it was easily a 9/10.
Scabbard
The Scabbard is beautiful. The design elements are all masterfully executed, the chape is beautiful, and the suspension system fits me just right. The Blade will fall out if the scabbard is inverted, but 'm not certain that is ahistorical. There is minimal rattling when the scabbard is shaken, but it isn't noticeable when wearing it around. The blade draws smoothly. I would rate the scabbard as an 8/10.

Overall Impressions
I am very happy this sword. It looks great, feels great, and I feel it was a more than fair price for the piece I received. I do love the perfection of an Albion, but this sword has charm and feels a human spent time and made this just for me. I would happily order from Pavel again.
