Does anyone know if there’s an update on Printed Armoury fittings? I know the designs were purchased and then pending production for ages until they got shelved. Has there been a change? If not, are there any other good alternatives for hilt components out there? I know there are Darksword one off’s and some pieces for theater combat swords, but I’m looking for similar quality to Printed Armoury.

I haven't heard anything (I was the last functional retailer of Printed Armory items). Hadn't heard that the designs were purchased. Could've happened - which would be great if someone else could produce and supply them with some reliability.

I am close to offering a first run of basic but classy replacement parts for HT swords. At least at first they won't have the intricate Renaissance style like the printed armory had, however should be a nice upgrade.

Jon I am at the point where I want to buy, strip, and scrap blades just to get the hilt parts. Interested in seeing what you have. Any simple straight cross wheel pommel pieces?

That's the plan to start with and once I've got the cad design finalized it would be easy or relatively easy to make scent stopper pommels and upswept guards etc.
As soon as I have some pictures I'll start a new thread probably in the manufacturer and vendors section as well as the classifieds

"I am at the point where I want to buy, strip, and scrap blades just to get the hilt parts." Funny enough I am mostly interested in the opposite... I can deal with the cad part and metal 3-d printing of complex hilt components but I wish more manufacturers would offer good quality bare blades that would be easy to work with. Most of the times I have very specific ideas as to what the hilt furniture should be like, but I don't have a great deal of confidence dealing with heat treating and such. But yeah I do miss the Printed Armoury hilt parts. I almost pulled the trigger on the Swiss Complex guard and writhen pommel when they were available, but I didn't, and now I'm kicking myself for it (good prices too for the quality).

Does anyone have pictures/stats for the Printed Armoury offerings? I remember seeing them when they were originally offered, but that was awhile ago.

These are my measurements, pics and notes from when I was selling them. There may be some broken links, irrelevant shop notes, etc. in the document body. Hope it's helpful! drive.google.com/drive/folders/14mzmd6TJsn2M9mRpP5k8Yc6HPBVpwryP?usp=sharingNote: where it says 'slot length' -- it's referring to the long sides of the rectangular tang slot opening, not the internal dimensions.
