For some reason I have yet to 'bond' to my Albion Jarl. So I decided to try to blue the hilt parts on it. I think it came out pretty well. The only part I did not blue was the face of the guard that faces the blade. I was not certain how to blue it given how tight the blade/guard gap is. It comes off well still. The silver wire now really stands out. Pics with my Huskarl with factory finish for contrast. Different light sure shows it differently. The Jarl has fresh oil on the hilt and that makes it shine in different spots. I have 'bonded' with it now. lol

Very nice. I'm a big fan of blued hilt parts, although, I don't know how common it was.

Thats a nice look. What did you use for the patina I used Birchwood Casey Perma Blue Liquid Gun Blue.
