Ive inherited two shin gunto from my great-grandfather and i would like to figure out info about one of them it only has the name kaneyoshi yoshida on the tang no stamps or anything any ideas?

A quick google search for the name Kaneyoshi Yoshida turned up a swordsmith who was alive during the Showa Era (1926-1989) (which is when the guntos were made as far as I know since I think they were mostly WW2 swords). This smith was somewhat famous from what I have read. If you do indeed have one of his pieces, it would be worth keeping since it is signed. And as already stated, pictures would help and someone fluent in Japanese could decipher the kanji on the mei (signature) for you.
EDIT: Here is a link I found from an auctioneers website with a Gunto signed by this smith if that helps at all.
