Just picked these two up couple days ago, missed having my western style guns in the house, just something about holding these resonates history.

One looks link .45 Colt ( aka .45 LC) the other is ".38 Colt and S&W Sepc" ( .38 Special)...had to zoom in 500% but it's on the barrel, there also Nitro proofed as well.
They look very nice...enjoy the History and the shooting...

awesome. I have found that .45 colt is a blast to shoot out of a longer barrel, not so fun with a shorter one. I prefer .38 though due to ease of availability and price. I need to get me a .38 or .357 cowboy revolver next, already have a .357 carbine and a .45 colt 1860 mason conversion.

Oh, also I'm around exactly 3 hours away from Cimarron, I want to take a trip to Fredericksburg and handle some cowboy pieces in person.

I love cimarron firearms, they have never let me down when I have owned them over the years, I highly recommend them. So I'm taking that trip to Fredericksburg Wednesday morning, gonna check out the cowboy stores there and might just come back from the little three day road trip with a new revolver. I got to handle an Uberti Remington 1875 in 9mm this last Friday. The 1875 was seriously a dark horse contender for my next revolver but I absolutely loved it. Despite my small hands, I've found I much prefer the larger Army style grips on 19th century revolvers over the smaller Navy style grips. First found that out with my 1860 Mason conversion, then with the 1875's massive Remington Army grip. Hopefully I'll get to handle an 1858 conversion this week, I read it has a slightly smaller grip than the 1875, but still lager than the Navy grips.

I just picked up a 7 1/2" barrel Cimarron in .45 colt so now I have the trifecta of all the barrel lengths, going to work on getting a 5 1/2" barrel in .44 wcf as well and look towards getting a 1873 winchester rifle as well.

Well that road trip is cancelled a few hours before leaving, thanks to a family member testing positive.

Well that road trip is cancelled a few hours before leaving, thanks to a family member testing positive. ugh that sucks, I hate this time of year with all the illnesses going around. I ended up going a little modern and ordered a Ruger blackhawk 6.5" barrel in .357
