Sharing an experience I had with PattyB that happened some time ago last May, because a lot of other people are mentioning issues right now. Kind of an awkward thing to talk about, I felt bad about saying something negative and making assumptions. But the story goes like so.
He personally messaged me saying he had an Albion Gallowglass that he was willing to sell me after seeing my WTB post, and generously offered selling to me for the original 1200 or 1300 dollars the sword was selling for when it was in production.
I of course agreed and quickly sent him 600 or 650 dollars as an upfront payment and deposit and within a week or two sent the remaining balance and took a trip to Japan. I told him not to worry about shipping the sword right away as I was out of the country for two weeks but paid him before I left.
I had bought a high end Wes beem Saber from patty before without issues so I had no problems trusting him, issue that happened is he said he had the sword at his parents house and that he would take pics of it when he got over there at some point before shipping , which never occurred, despite my multiple times asking for at least one picture of proof of ownership. It never happened.
I was lenient about things for a while but then started giving him a hard time when there was a stretch of long period in time after getting back to the states and having no updates at all about when it would be sent out and again no pics of the sword.
It took many more weeks until finally he sent me a tracking notice from UPS or FedEx where it said the label was created but the package was never sent for pick up. This went on for another week or so until he ended up telling me the sword was at his parents house and he was away and asked them to leave it at the door for the delivery service to pick it up from the house. Then claimed it was stolen from their house and so the delivery service was never able to recieve it because it was just... gone..
I had 90 percent believed at this point that patty never had the sword in the first place and probably just needed quick money for whatever reason. He also told me it was a gift from his grandfather before passing away and etc. Again never had a single pic of the sword from any point in time though. He later sent my money back after having had my 1200 or 1300 dollars in his possession for over two months? Never got my sword because it never existed. But he did end up paying me back of which I very appreciate in the least. I am sharing this now though. So that others who are skeptical can keep their distance if he's pulling any of this weird stuff again.
Excuse any typos I was doing this from my phone, I have proof of our entire conversations and history. I just don't really wanna dig through that right now. Because it's not really relevant for me. To get the exact details just sharing the experience overal. That is something I could access if needed For the exact details of dates times etc, just working off memory here.
