I was wondering if there's really any customization I could do to my 15th Century Longsword by Windlass?...
what would be cool and what could I do about getting or making a better scabbard?
Also... soon I'm gonna order an Arms and Armor Nordland axe... anyone know anything about those?

Bluing of the fittings of course. ![:)](//storage.forums.net/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Maybe replacing the leather with a dark red leather, maybe removing shiny coating on the blade... There are many possibilities...

And about the axe, I don't have it but I don't think you can go wrong with an A&A item...

Well, it has a screw on pommel, so it'll be easier to work with. I'd start by rewrapping the whole thing. I re-covered mine and redid the wire wrap too. If I had it to do over I'd heat color the fittings. Sanding off that mirror finish will take some time, but be worth it. If you have access to a grinder or dremel you could reshape the pommel. It's begging to be fluted.
As for the scabbard, do a search and you'll find decent instructions from a couple of different people. It's a bit time consuming to make your own, but it's quite satisying.
