...not for their sharpeners specifically, but for their customer service. I've had a Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition for 7 years, and while it's not perfect for sword sharpening, it's about as good a compromise as you can hope for at that price and ease. Anyway, I decided recently to step up my game and get their Blade Grinding Attachment. After a couple of hours of practicing (on an old junk bowie from Pakistan that I've had more than 30 years), I heard a POP from the motor, and my Ken Onion Edition was dead.
I contacted Work Sharp customer support to find out if either there is a user-serviceable fuse I could replace, or failing that, if it was possible to just buy the motor unit (since I had actually just replaced the blade guides and had plenty of belts). They responded that the unit isn't user-serviceable, and since I was LONG out of warranty, they couldn't replace just the motor unit, BUT they gave me a coupon code for more than 40% off a new WSKOE basic kit.
We need more customer service like this. They didn't need to help me. They would have been entirely within their rights to say "sorry, out of warranty" and leave it at that. But they went the extra mile, and that's worth recognizing.
The Blade Grinding Attachment is great, BTW, especially if you add the cloth stropping belts and the 3d printed riser you can find online. I managed to get my junky old Windlass dadao shaving sharp.

haven't used the Ken Onion edition much since I bought it. Need to practice on some junk kitchen knives and then give the good kitchen knives a tune-up.
I absolutely love the WorkSharp chisel sharpener. Makes such a difference.
