So, as the title suggests this is about the end knot on tachi koshirae. I am currently working on a project for a tachi tsuka, and after buying and watching the tsukamaki dvd from namikawa I am just as clueless as before, as this dvd apparently only covers the itomaki for katana. While I can see some things that are helpful, there is no clue to wrapping it around the sarute and finishing the knot, or what preparations are met before that. It's in Thomas Buck's book, The Art of Tsukamaki, page 85 and 86. It explains how to do the knot on each side.

Thank you very much, bought the book and it seems like the tsukamki is finished on one side and the other side is just an Imitation knot made out of a separat piece of ito
