File sizes... I appreciate the intent. I am -- discounting surfing the web -- mainly a command line / linux fella. BUT, at the same time, this contraption has stuffed my post twice. As this posting mechanism is offering editing my images, I assume they are actually there, so I shall just restate my text: The end-cap and far end of the D-guard is wrong / broken. Advice on repairing or replacemet. Also, there is no sheath, and I would like something... something NOT metal, preferred. David PS. Here goes; do respond if it has not come out right (i.e. the pictures never turn up.) Attachments:

You just need a pommel nut. Should be able to find one of those somewhere. It's probably a reproduction.
As for sheaths, two long strips of leather and some resilient thread should suffice, but there are always fancier, more expensive options. A good sheath maker can charge up to about $2000, which would be worth more than the blade by a lot.
