I have one more thing I'd like to ask.
Does anybody have any idea what this dagger might be? I have found it at an local auction and the seller thinks it might be some sort of a pilots tanto. Regarding the text, I have asked a friend who has been learning Japanese for some time now, but he couldn't translate it. Aside from that I was able to find one auction that happened a while back with exactly the same dagger, only more rusted, but unfortunately that didn't tell me much.
Thank you.

I can't tell you for sure, but I think it might be an older wood carving set, just from the blade form on the knife. Unfortunately I can't read Kanji, hopefully someone else can help

These are specialty knives intended for the art of flower cutting and arranging, which they call ikebana. I have one on the way myself! The odd square blade and the careful work on the shirasaya are a tip off. The other one is a saw for the tougher flower stems. There's quite a variety of these tools, if you google ikebana you'll see for yourself!
