Is there a power tool attachment that anyone would recommend for sharpening knives and also swords?

Attachment for like a drill or angle grinder? I haven't seen anything I'd use. Stand alone products are more plentiful. Many here use a Work Sharp KO. There are also small belt sanders available on amazon for under 100$. There are some belt sander attachments for drills and angle grinders, that might work, but you need a powerful machine to run it and the tension on the belt might not be enough. If the tension on the belt is too low you can't get a straight enough grind. Some convexity is a good thing for swords, but too much can really hurt performance
Don't use something like a dremel attachment for sharpening, it will end horribly. Might get a sharp blade out of it, but the edge won't be consistent. The dremel attachments work well for polishing with very high grit, but with low grit you will mangle the blade.

Yeah, should be it. Any decent belt sander should work as well, you only need something to stabilize your grinding angle. But be careful, you can burn blades relatively easily at high belt speeds. If the colour of the steel changes to straw/yellow, stop immediately! If it's blue, you killed the heat treatment and would need to remove everything that went blue.

I use the WorkSharp KO Blade grinder attachment to sharpen all of my swords and knives.

Can you use this with other power tools or do you need to have the worksharp specific motor for it?

Yes, but you have to have the motor attachment as well
