I find that I'm beginning to like this blade shape more and more. Around 85-90cm long, light and narrow and almost slightly convex in profile. Aiming for 1-1.2kg weight. A specific subtype of type XVIII. Is anyone aware of both historical swords and reproductions showing this type? I do not remember seeing many blades like this, besides two examples from Oakeshott's book below. The most similar I have seen among production swords is Albion Munich, but it is considerably longer and heavier. Ideally I would be looking for a single handed sword of this type but light bastard swords are ok as well. The only modern reproductions I'm aware of are Tod's Workshop Writhen Sword and Mateusz Sulowski Type XVIII from Wallace Collection: sulowskiswords.com/types-xviiiabc/for-sale-type-xviii-gold-from-wallace-collection/todsworkshop.com/products/writhen-hilt

Something like the XVIIIb swords would be pretty comparable which this seems to be. The Albion munich would be a good example. Or maybe a type XVII like the Landgraf and Sempach. Edit* sorry didn't see the rest of your comment when I responded. You're more likely to find later time period single hand swords like this than albions curreng offerings. Like rapiers and some side swords. I can't think of any makers off top of my head though. There is quite a few though. Valiant armoury also has pretty similar sword types with their Strasbourg and Tauber. Also lighter and slightly shorter than the munich. I have a Strasbourg for sale currently. This kind of blade
