Any swords out there similar to the Hanwei wind and thunder but on a more budget friendly price point?

Only thing I can think of is Shobu or Nanbokucho Raptor but have tsuka that are longer. Neither are nearly as heavy. Slap on a new tsuba. If you could figure out how they pin their menuki to the tsuka, that would be easier than rewrapping it but they also won't look exactly like the W&T
KoA has a Raijin Katana but the size dimensions are nearly close.
Most stuff out of LongQuan isn't going to built like a tank like the W&T. I've heard of some people custom ordering katana from RyanSword or HanbonForge over 3lbs and I'm sure you could figure out the Raijin and Fujin theme with what they offer.

The Raijin does look appealing, though what I like most about the wind and thunder is the heavy wide blade. I have had a custom sword made from jkoo sword before, but Im thinking for the cost of a custom I could just get the Hanwei.

I've always been curious about this model, but never seen or handled one personally. Its been a few years since I have handled it, but I really liked the look and feel of it. I liked the heavy blade. A few friends of mine that practice Japanese martial arts didn't like it and complained it was too heavy. I had at the time a cold steel okatana (the first model) and I remember feeling that the two swords felt similar in heft.

casiberia.com/product/great-wave-katana/sh5004 it's over 1/2lb lighter and nearly 2" shorter. I see the W&T listed at 3lbs 5 and 8oz. this sword lists at 48oz on Cold Steel website though I didn't look up any review where someone weighed it. And it's basically 6" longer in the blade besides a longer tsuka and nakago (which means it's likely built a lot slimmer)

Ehh, cheapest I can find Wind&Thunder is $800+tax (and shipping?)
I know non standard saya are extra $$ and I would expect a longer tsuka and blade (29.5") to be as much too and maybe habaki
You might be able to get something custom like that from LongQuan for half of what you would pay for the Hanwei W&T.
That being said, I think going with Hanwei is likely a better buying decision. I wouldn't trust Jkoo not to mess up at least one detail and the W&T is already in stock at KoA or some other US vendors so you wouldn't have to deal with any dicking around having it made.
If you're not happy with the W&T, you can probably return it compared to LongQuan where you would basically be SoL
