Hey guys I went to Japan over the summer and I bought this nihonto. I want to know if y'all think it was worth it. I paid 4k for it.

I'd like to see closer shots of the blade and the koshirae in good lighting, but I would say based on what I could see it looks authentic, of a quality level consistent with what you paid.
Also, HEIC works for me and other Apple users, but often non Apple users struggle to open them.

The torokusho looks promising, but those HEIC things want to save to my hard drive. Sorry, not happening. Please convert images to something we can all see (like JPEG), before posting them for ID or valuation. Thanks.

That paperwork that you photographed I believe is just a generic weapons registration in Japan, not the same thing as a certification.
Still it appears to be a very beautiful blade, I like the subtle sori.

Awful photos, but yes, you got your money's worth as near as I can tell.
