I’m looking to remove some minor rust spots on a couple swords. Every suggests using the grey scotch bright pads. Is there a specific type or grit you all recommend? Is this the type most recommend? I’d like to buy the best kind to help ensure I can make the finish even so I don’t have satin on 95% of blade and lighter spots.
Dura-Gold Premium 6" x 9" Gray Ultra Fine General Purpose Scuff Pads, Box of 10.
Or these?

Scotch Brites 7448 is what I use, it creates a finish that I'd call satin finish. Btw also not bad for sharpening knives when used like a whetstone.

Albion specifically mentions the ScotchBrite 7448 in their "How to care for your sword" tutorial (probably gone now with the recent website changes). I bought some from Grainger earlier this year.
