I was wondering if anyone knew of anyone in the state of Maryland who could do some sword repair/maintenance.
I have a sword (Erbach sword) made by Windlass that was gifted to me and I had forgotten about it for some time. I wish to have some repair and maintenance done on it preferably by a professional so I can display it in my home, I have no experience and wouldn't feel comfortable doing any repairs or maintenance myself. I would like to have the edges sharpened/cleaned up (it looks to have been hand sharpened at some point but it looks like a rough job), the blade polished of some scratches and scoffs, and the black leather grip redone as it seems a bit rotted/damaged in spots. If anyone has any recommendations I'd greatly appreciated.
I have reached out to the Blacksmiths Guild of Central Maryland as well as Baltimore Knife and Sword company but I have yet to hear back from either of them. Thanks!

Heya fellow Marylander!
Unfortunately, this sort of thing is out of my wheelhouse but I would like to reccomend a shop to try. I'm not sure what part of Maryland you live, but in Frederick County is a place called Edgeworks. They sell knives and swords and I believe they do sharpening, I am not sure about polish/restoration but it would be worth reaching out to them. Best of luck!

If it does not need to be someone close, and you intend to ship it, you have many many options. Look up these users: Voltan Lonely Wolf Forge They both do what you need. The real question- what's your budget, and how much do you want to keep it? I've been in the market for one of those for a while now.
