I own two hafted cold steel weapons, the warhammer and norse hawk which I bought in the mid-2000s. I was browsing pictures today of the newer produced ones on different retail sites, including KoA, and the sockets on mine are definitely not as slim looking. Example below. That norse hawk's socket is clearly narrower, front to back, than on mine. The handles seem smaller, too. This interests me because the whopping sledgehammer sized sockets on mine is the main reason I never bought any more cold steel tomahawks.
Does anyone here own both new and old tomahawks and can confirm if the dimensions are smaller?

Well then...nobody wanted to reply so I went and bought one of those new spontoons warhammers. Now I have my answer, and a superior weapon.

Okay, regardless of the yea or nay as to the weapon's construction, that smiley face is really, really funny.

It should be engraved as positive in the metal. This way you can stamp your enemies.
"This one was defeated by sir hawthorn, the smiley knight"
