My super simple, zero skill mod.

Ingredients:

United Cutlery Combat Commander Thai Gladius Sword - $50
Hacksaw
5 minutes

POB: 3.5"

(Pic shows handle wrapped in tennis racket wrap. Probably not the best. Hockey tape is in the mail. Real Combat Commander Gladius shown for comparison.)

I know this is low brow stuff for all you warriors wielding Albions out there, but this cheapo mod resulting in a longer gladius made me happy so I wanted to share it.

I definitely would like to cut more off the handle and come closer to the tang, but I'm afraid it would compromise the structural integrity of the plastic since the screw holding the base of the tang in needs something to anchor onto.

It's a good idea, and I'd really like to attach a real pommel to the tang, but I have no welding skills. Adding a giant ball of tape on the end would be easy and in keeping with the spirit of the sword mod. Might try it!
