Came across this seller on ebay auctioning of a few items that held some interest. Wondering if anyone has any experience with them.
Looking at a couple ads, I was getting the feeling some things weren't adding up, but I am by no means experienced or an expert. As an example, they have an Ames 1860 US Navy cutlass on auction....from what I have read every Ames naval cutlass was stamped with a serial number on the guard...this one does not have one. Another is a US Navy Officer's sword purported to be WWI to WWII. It has a stainless blade, made by Wolf Brown in Spain, and has the eagle on the pommel facing heraldric right....based on what I've seen, that sounds like a Cold War era sword.
Just seeing if anyone has had an experience with them one way or the other.

I am also very skeptical. I saw they are sponsoring a major auction on live auctioneer, but I am staying away.
I have seen them list a lot of suspect “confederate items”. I also don’t like this whole story of “I was just selling some stuff for my family and then I became so good at it, everyone wanted to use me!”. That persona allows them to hide behind their “clients”.
Unfortunately, if you sell a fake in this industry, it can black ball you for life. I care about the integrity of the dealer. If they sell a fake or misrepresent something, and then come clean when the learn about it, no worries, that happens (no one can be an expert on thousands of years of history, mistakes are made). If they are cagey, then that tells me they should not be trusted.

To add to that...I found an article in a Florida community newspaper that gives lie to the backstory......the Ebay profile shows a woman and the blurb about selling of their "father's collection"....when the owner of Zev Antiques in the article is a dude named Vlad who moved over from Ukraine (so he certainly wasn't selling Dad's stuff). Article claims he's been selling at shows all over the US since 2012.....but the few things that I keyed in on on the stuff I looked at make me think I am going to go with my gut here and avoid this seller, unless there is other feedback here. www.southfloridasuntimes.com/news/an-edge-on-the-market
