So I lied, I’m actually selling one last blade. I’ve called this one “sting” before and it’s not a total dork description: 1400s piece and one of the last swords using the old methods lost in the sengoku and early Edo. Note the blue koto steel and the nie-utsuri. Thing is crawling with activities: inazuma, chikei, utsuri. Might be small but if you want a piece to familiarize yourself with those art sword traits this is it. The sword itself has a nijimei by Uda Yoshikuni, he’s from a Yamato offshoot basically and while daimiyo sword collectors think rustic offshoots less desirable than older treasure swords from Bizen and Masamune’s Soshu there’s no denying this sword has the same practical artistry and hard to make techniques like utsuri that were gone by the Shinto period. Also a soshu tanto by a student of a student of masamune will set you back 10K. This, it’s as expensive as that ice cream van from Borat. nihonto.com/uda-school/ more on school here. No Glamdring but yeah, you could think of it as a dagger made in the last days of Gondolin. Asking for 520+30$ insured shipping if standard PayPal and 500+30$ if PayPal friends and family or Zelle. You can also buy it on my eBay and pay 600 (they take about 14% in sales fees) if you’re a masochist.

Self plagiarizing my eBay description since I’m not rewriting that for you unless you literally commission me to research and write up the thing. yes it comes with a free sword bag and a guarantee of getting shinteisho rank or better. Almost certainly better but I’m conservative with my guarantees.

Oh and its Export paperwork and Torokusho. Since I personally imported this I’ve got better track of provenance than usual. Anyways, nice little sword and a reasonably cheap way to get a koto specimen if you want one. Attachments:

Sold! An eBay customer bought it from there. Too bad, had he found this place both of us would have gotten more money.
