I would love to see a side-by-side comparison of the Tod Cutler and Matt Easton/Windlass/RA versions of the Wakefield Hanger.

I want to like the messer as I love messers in general, but something about the hilt design seems off... the grip seems too short and the knucklebow too long and the bend in the knuckle bow is too round. The blade shape seems fine but I am not loving the hilt. I generally love tod's stuff (his daggers) but this one is not doing it for me. Not sure if I'm the only one who feels that way. I would like the falchion on the other hand.

I would love to see a side-by-side comparison of the Tod Cutler and Matt Easton/Windlass/RA versions of the Wakefield Hanger. Just by the numbers (based on the listings on the MRL page and Tod's page, respectively) Tod's is 1/2" shorter overall, with the blade 3/4" shorter, and it's 6oz lighter. And Tod's has a full knuckle bow while the RA has shorter side lug. (The lug/bar is visibly broken off of the original, so nobody knows for sure what exactly went there.) And based on the Kult of Athena listing for the Windlass/RA version, Tod's PoB is an inch closer to the guard. But it would be a very interesting head-to-head, since both messers are passion projects from well-known, historically-minded online sword-influencers (is that a thing?). [Edited because I mathed bad.]

I'm thinking more of a comparison / review by someone like Kane Shen.

I'm thinking more of a comparison / review by someone like Kane Shen. Yes, that would be excellent.

For those interested, Tod talked about a few more details regarding the sword line in this thread on myarmoury.
