Greetings! A review of my beloved Tactical Tanto Meat Cleaver. Are story starts in 2015. I was perusing weapons for sale across the internet. I caught a glimpse of a funny looking animai toy like sword on Etsy and passed it by often over the next half a year. As I remember it one day I noticed a sale price markdown on the strange sword 1080.$ to 879.99$ and next to that a final markdown price of 479.99$ It caught my interest enough to stop and take a close look at the five photographs of this short sword. After looking over the pictures for the first time and reading the modest info I purchased the sword and received it a week later shipped from the craftsman Anthony Cdebaca of RavenStagDesign Belgrade Montana. At this point in time I had developed a good idea of what I like in a weapon. Looking it over closely for the first time I decided it looked deadly instead of toy like! I like swords that slice gracefully or chop. This one gave me a shiver through my body when I calculated its head lopping power or getting run through with it. It looked comfortable to hold, had quality design/execution and 5160 steel one of my favored steels. I was not familiar with this craftsman or his work but the little Devil who tells me what weapons to procure said, do you think someone who went through the trouble and time to make a sword this detailed would give it anything less than his best heat treatment. Buy it! It arrived safely and securely packaged. The paracord wrap was tight and felt pretty good in hand but I had a feeling I should take it off. The bare metal handle is my favorite on a short sword. Its very much like a two handed coffin grip. I feel a super secure grip wielding the sword one or two handed even with sweaty hands! The big flat wide blade arrived with a hair shaving sharp edge. The false back edge is only sharp one inch behind the tip. Practicing with this short sword over time I grow to love it more and more. It is fast and agile for its length and weight. The big flat wide stiff blade geometry provides terrifying chopping power. I dislike ruining the tip on any weapon, but I love throwing just about any weapon if the situation is right. I would not want to be on the receiving end of this sword if I lobbed it in there! Kydex sheath with brass. Handle has copper bolster and butt, aluminum scales and liners, brass pins and aluminum tube pins. Weight on my scale 42 ounces. Overall length 25 1/2 inches. Total edge cutting length 15 1/2 inches. Point of balance 1 3/4 inches out from bolster. The outdoor photos are from Etsy and are what I had to go by. Peace
