Been trying to access it for a couple of days for some research with no luck....anyone know if the site has ceased operation or if it is just a server issue?

I had read the "what's the deal..." thread earlier this year. Well that just plain sucks. I went there frequently for education, it will be missed by many, I am sure.

They shut down not too long ago saying they were doing upgrades. They came back up and the site worked great. Let's hope for the best. Hate to see them go.

All I can add is this.
The domain does resolve to an IP Address, so it's likely not a DNS issue and they seem to still have a validly registered domain name. After that, everything times out. I can get no information about the server, what CMS they use, nothing.
Could be a temporary outage, could be planned maintenance, could be an unpaid hosting bill, or could be permanent. We have no real way to tell at the moment unless someone here has the personal contact info of one of their admins.
I'm hoping it is maintenance and we see them.back up shortly. That is a long lived and well respected community.

I hope someone can screenshot/archive/acquire MyArmoury's Oakeshott typology articles.
I've referred to them dozens of times over the years, and would hate to lose access to them!

Yes. I still cannot get on the site.
They were having a fair amount of posts the last few months so actually activity had increased

I would guess that they're dealing with some technical issues. I would be shocked that such an active and successful website would close with no discussion of it shutting down in their forum. Like others, I noticed that myarmoury was inaccessible for a few days some weeks or months ago but started up again.
It would be a great shame if it died. But again--I think (I hope!) the worry is for naught! Crossing fingers --

Crossing fingers -- Sometime ago they stopped allowing new members to the classified section because the old website structure couldn't handle all the data? I believe or something to that regard. At which point they mentioned they were working on changing and fixing their site. Maybe right now they had it off as they implemented whatever new system they will be using. You would at least suspect they would put a public notice on the forums if they were gonna have it shut down purposefully |

Woot! Thanks for the update, I hadn't tried it in a while. If they need funds for maintenance, they should ask for donations...even if I can't register, I find the site useful. People become patreon supporters for much worse content, lol.
