This a great entry level antique - I bought it here on the forum 6 or 7 years ago. Here is a great thread about the sword by Dave Kelly: sbg-sword-forum.forums.net/thread/66400/This one is in excellent condition. The only detraction is that the crest has been filed off. As you might read from the article, this was very common for these pieces. More pics can be found here: drive.google.com/drive/u/1/folders/1-8FKGicOBRG7Wn7m0fykuc1n09bsRnr9This is a lovely saber, but my attention has turned to Early American Swords and Nihonto. -Drew Attachments:

Yeah. If the crest were intact, I would’ve snatched it right up. Very nice saber, and getting more rare.

Oh wow. If I didn't already have 2, I'd be all over this. Best sword I've ever held. EVER Howdy Amigos! I have 3 of the Model 1898 Argentine Trooper's Saber and I must admit that the ''Sub-Officer's'' Model is a perfectly Balanced and it's such a Joyful experience to Wield around and Practice Saber Dueling with. Just such a well-made and perfectly designed Saber. The 3 Different versions are the following: 1898 Officer's Saber - Long Version 1898 Officer's Saber - Short Version 1898 Sub-Officer's Reglementary Saber Be Well! Sincerely, Ramiro Guerrero I don't know how to add a PDF about all of the ''Reglementary Argentine Sabers between 1870 and 1910.'' It is my ''Bible'' for Collecting and Buying/Selling. It's called: ''Sables del Ejército Argentino desde 1870.'' by Alejandro E. Fargosi and you can find it and download it on the following site: archive.org/Just search the Book by Fargosi and it will show up. It lists every Sword and Saber by descriptions, pictures, dimensions, Manufacturers and production numbers! A wealth of knowledge. Priceless Reference Material for your library. I have over 1,000 Priceless PDF Files that are mostly about Edged Weapons and Armor. Some are over 1,000 years old! Attachments:1898d.jfif (26.24 KB)
