Quick review of the Kingdom of Arms Crecy War Sword a reproduction of a Type XVIa CONS After unsheathing the sword twice the scabbard became loose and would slide down off the sword on its own in a vertical position. I used a piece of plastic from another knife sheath to shim it and now it fits tightly again. In my opinion the pommel is oversized BUT…it is nice with accents and it counterbalances the blade nicely giving it quick responses for cut transitions. It also could be used to bludgeon someone with. I would suggest a smaller yet heavier pommel used instead. PROS I chose this sword because the weight, blade and handle length dimensions are what I was looking for. The blade profile is beautiful and the flat of the blade allows nice blade alignment when thumbing. Comes very sharp and handles nicely. Its weight allows for repeated use without quickly tiring. In closing I must say that I really like this sword and recommend it. - Joseph DiF Video of cutting www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRwwyUcP/

On your suggestion on a smaller pommel, but heavier. That would mean, either a thicker pommel, or less thick, but bigger in circumference pommel. On the looseness of the scabbard, we are working on that. What we are doing is to find a balance. Some places are more humid and the wood swells; and as Age Of Chivalry says in Oregon and Washington Ren Faires, most lines, the humidity is so high that none of the other lines they are able to un-sheath, except ours. Then in other states, they are loose. So we want them to draw easily, but not rattle. If they slide out easily, but not rattle. That is what we want. Again thank you. Clyde

I should note that I only mention shimming the scabbard because I display the sword vertically, other than that the scabbard’s look and the blade profile were selling points for me.
