Hello all! I have three swords I'm looking to sell. Del Tin late 16th century rapier. I have made a scabbard for it, nothing fancy, but it’s serviceable. When I got it, the wire wrap on the grip had a slight wiggle to it, but I fixed that with a tiny bit of epoxy. I did make a slight modification to the blade, removing about three inches from the tip, giving it more of a side sword/cut and thrust length. The blade is not sharp but the point is. With the added scabbard and reduced blade, I’m going to just ask about what I paid for it new, $700 obo plus shipping inside conus. I made a new grip from stacked resin and brass. The grip I made is not perfect, but it’s secure and serviceable. The scabbard is the original core, rewrapped in new leather and dyed purple. Overall, a really unique one-of-a-kind piece. Asking $550 obo plus shipping inside conus. This one has just a slight wiggle in the guard and the wire on the grip is just a bit loose. Otherwise it is in good condition. Man, that katzbalger is absolutely magnificent. Vastly improved compared to the default version. Might have to give in to temptation ...

Any idea how the person you had customize the guard attached the two new/additional quillions (the D guard and the upswept rear-facing one)? They look aesthetically identical to the originals and they're joined so seamlessly that I can't see how they were added. Guessing they were welded?

Yes, I believe they were welded. My main request was that the additions look original to the piece, and he really knocked it out of the park.
