Thank you. Yes, I hand make every part of my creations with the exception of the steel blade blank. I am not a smith so I purchase quality blade blanks and then alter them to my needs through stock removal. In this case I drastically altered a basic blade shape of my blank to the leaf shaped blade you see and also added a fuller. I etch my artwork onto each blade and do all my own guard, handle, and pommel creation. The leaf motif brass guard on this piece was created through hours of hand filing and Dremel work and then I annealed the piece in order to allow me to bend it to its final curvature. The handle is carved from African Blackwood with a brass inlay of leaves. The spacers and threaded pommel were all ground from brass bar stock. I use interior steel lineup pins throughout the guard and handle construction. Thanks for asking as fit and finish is a very important part of what I strive to do.
