Hey guys, I am wanting to change out the menuki under the ito on my demon katana but I am not skilled at tsuka-maki, the question is...where or who does this stuff? I am also in search of mekugi, oni or shi shi style.

Tommy Gilliam of OkinawaOutpost.com Aaron Justice : homepage.mac.com/aaronjustice However I'd like to be a stick in the mud here for a minute... Your Musashi (right Musashi?) really isn't a sword you want to go doing all these mods to. New tsuka maki and new menuki are gonna cost more than your sword.Just FWIW It's your $$$ do as you choose.

I definitely don't want to pay more than I spent on the katana, I think I might give it a go myself, I saw some tutorails somewhere... the menuki won't be from the edo period or made from precious metals, I'm talking about bronze, brass, or copper...antiqued silver would be nice. Well, like I said in a previous thread, this is now a project sword. If I screw something up I won't be out of thousands of dollars.
