I’ve been looking for a Qi Jian like the one sold by SBG years ago. There’s several on the market that look identical to it. One company confirmed the pommel was threaded and screwed on. I found one on eBay that’s going for something like 1600$ and wondering if it’s the real deal. All one piece construction.
Anybody have experience with the eBayer Chinatown-antiquer. I’ll try to post the link. The 3000 reviews look like they’ve all been written by the same person with bad English.
I’ve been after this sword for a long time. I only have three swords on my list and this is one of them. Seems very difficult to find.

Chinatown-Antiquier is way over-priced on everything. Just talked to one of my contacts in Longquan who could get it under $1k.

That one too but it’s discontinued for a long time already. A couple years after it was discontinued, the SBG store had a version available. I know the Hanwei version wasn’t very sharp but the balance was perfect for forms practice.
