Apologies for always forgetting to post here, here's 1882 (left) and 1892 (right) Troopers Household Cavalry sabres. Some of the last truly great sabres, the left has nearly a meter long blade, and the right has a still respectable 34 & 1/2" blade with a large grip that really just makes you want to chop with it.

From the forum classifieds I got an aluminum blade Albion Stamford, a prop from one of the Arn movies. Not sure if the scabbard is Albion made or not.
Here with my steel blade Albion Stamford.

Just received a new addition for my Albion collection a couple of days ago, and I'm rather happy with it! I really didn't have anything like it before. It's also somewhat uncommon, Albion discontinued this model in 2015 far before the planned production run was completed. I think they determined that the quatrefoil quillons were just too much of a hassle to produce to the quality level that they are known for and wish to maintain. An Albion Chieftain with Oxblood grip! I included pictures that show it in relation to my other "big" longswords, and threw one in of my other sword wall with arming swords and shorter longswords as well.

Albion Crecy, red grip with blackened fittings. I have wanted this sword for many years, couldn't pass it by when it just showed up on KOA. I'm pretty excited to finally add this one to my collection!!

Blackened and antiqued fittings it seems. Nice score.

Ah, that is a great looking Crecy, lanceabrennan. I recently picked up a blacked out model too (thanks again toddstratton1!) and sent it to Valiant Armory to get a rewrap and a new scabbard. Zach does outstanding leather work, is quite fast, and charges a very fair price. He is also a gentleman, in spite of his failure to be a Golden Knights fan. I will be coming back to him in the future. Brian Kunz at DBK hooked me up with some beautiful pommel markers (again), at a great price and got them to me pronto. I really can't overstate what a treasure he is in this hobby. You made that crecy look so damn cool with all that done to it. Show this to anyone who says a crecy is too boring lol

Three new swords came in last week. I was busy and could only apply the unavoidable grip band before taking pictures now. A Windlass Musketeer Rapier next to the Main Gauche I already had. Unfortunately it's a bit overwheight, 1300 g instead of advertised 1100 - 1200 g, 3 to 6 oz too much. Handling is still ok, neither blade heavy nor hilt heavy, just a bit too heavy. A Windlass Assassin's Creed Ezio's saber. I'm not a fan of or play Assassin's Creed but the stats were good. 900 g / 2 lb with a good balance. Not much distal taper, only profile taper, but a thin 4,3 mm blade stock. A good balanced agile infantry saber. The half basked is nice but I assume it wouldn't block a hard hit. The grip band wrap with the thicker center prevents the hand from sliding near the hilt where the basket is a bit uncomfy. APOC Tactical Jian. 900 g / 2 lb very good balanced, feels nearly weightless in the hand. Good distal taper and the full tang balance very neutral, not hilt heavy like the katana or blade heavier like the broadsword.

Purple sword this week! Variant of Angus Trim’s XIIa.10 (purple grip and bronze finished fittings), with scabbard done by Zach Suttles. One of these days I’ll just post my full collection.
