White Well Arms made my custom ge/poleaxe almost picture perfect to the Photoshop image I supplied them with. They aren't good at communication, but they are fantastic at shaping metal.

Fantastic pieces, how much envy! I really admire a lot the works of Pier Paolo Rvsticvs Siercovich, sooner or later I will decide to order one of his creatures too.

I've been wanting a great sword of war for a while now and my wife graciously ordered me this one for an anniversary gift. It's a DSA Sword of the High King. Specs on mine:
Length 59 in. Blade length 44.25 in. A bit longer than spec. Weight 79.7 oz.
My wife requested that it be well sharpened and it is just that. Both edges have a slight, very even, secondary bevel that is paper cutting sharp. The sheath is quite nice and a very good fit. Great for transporting in the truck, but not really practical for carrying it on my person. My only complaint is that the guard has a wider gap at the blade than I would like. Other than that I am well pleased with my gift. In fact, I may well order another one down the road at some point. I haven't done much cutting with it yet but I learned one thing pretty quick; my recovery technique needs some work!
The last pic is shown with my two CS hand and a half swords for a size reference.
Your DSA Sword is beautiful.
Those CS swords look really nice.

Thanks! The CS swords are not bad for the price here, but I must admit I got a bit of sticker shock when I saw the cost 'down under'. I hope the pic helps with your decision on your sword purchase.

Just got my shield from MedievalUA in Ukraine. The design is a zoomorphic triskellion from a fibula found in Gotland circa 550-600 CE. Now I need something older than a Type H to really go with it.

Woah. I’ve never seen a spatulate tip welded ‘round like that. That pattern welding is mesmerizing.

On its way to me: Type XIIIb, copy of an original from the Alexandria arsenal by Mateusz Sulowski. Faithful reproduction that includes the Arabic inscriptions and makers' mark.

From Mateusz:
total lenght: 109,5cm blade lenght: 92cm Blade width: 58mm Thickness of blade (at the base): 5mm weight: 1510g balance: 15cm grip lenght: 11cm
Except for the grip the stats read more like my Albion Duke. Pretty big boy for single-hander,

September is sword month. Also on the way is this rendering by Gael Fabre of a 15 century German hand and a half. In contrast to the aforementioned massive "chopper" this one is a finesse blade. Total length: 115cm Blade length: 90cm Blade width: 4.6cm Grip length: 13.5cm Balance point: 15cm Weight: 1263 grams

Absolutely gorgeous. I need to get something from Gael at some point. I have acquired two Fabre swords second hand prior to this -- a Type XIIa and a Type XV based on a prototype from the Wallace Collection. Both are superb. He does not disappoint.

Silly question maybe, but needs asking. What differentiates his work over say an Albion? or if you're going maker, an Angus trim or Longship? or KC?
