These are on their way to me, a Fulham and Pompeii gladius with scabbard for the Fulham.

Very nice looking! I think I like the right one just a tad more, personally speaking. Is that the Pompeii. Sorry, I don't know much about Roman swords.

Well, my mystery scratch and dent deal arrived today. After daring to hold out hope at least one of the two would be something cool it was totally anticlimactic. One is a vaguely SLO with a cutaway plastic scabbard stainless steel blade and rat tail "tang." It's completely unsharpened (which is a good thing as someone may attempt to cut with it otherwise) and isn't even fit for a wall hanger. More like the junk box for cannibalizing material. And it's also VERY soft stainless steel. It bends quite easily and almost wobbles when shaken. Big let down on that one. The other item (it's not a sword) has a somewhat kinda resemblance to a kopesh. More like somebody dropped acid and played with the plasma cutter. It's a beefy enough chunk of stainless steel and it is sharp. It could be used as a brush cutter I guess and it could probably split kindling OK. Maybe it could be made into some sort of throwing weapon so long as I don't throw it around any sizable rocks. If I miss and hit one I think it would shatter quite well. Neither is anything I'm particularly proud to own. The 60 bucks I shelled out to roll the dice came up snake eyes. I wasn't expecting much anyways but sometimes you luck out on SD stuff and pick up a decent blade that just has a dent in the scabbard or some other silly issue that got it sent back. The "katana" isn't really worth putting any modification effort into. Oh, maybe a guy could get creative with it strictly for display (to be viewed from a distance) sans the "saya". I found it on the site I found this SD deal and the reviews on it were just glowing. 74 reviews and every one but one giving it 5 out of 5. I'm confused. It would be a let down to the greenest of newbies from my front porch. It's labeled as the "Purple Warrior" but there's no makers name applied. Meh, handy scrap for the project materials bin. The kopesh thingamajiggy has some possibilities as some sort of camp tool perhaps. It's a Pakistan made item and I think either the designer or the plasma cutter operator had gotten into the hasish that day. It's all metal and has no handle other than some pleather wrapped around it. It is...interesting. At any rate no need to post any pictures. My scratch and dent order was a bust.

The sword is very difficult to buy as it is sold out almost everywhere. Then it is very expensive here in Europe. After much hesitation, I bought one two days ago because there is a 20% discount. There are only two videos on Youtube about this sword. How are you satisfied with the Katzbalger? Do you also make a video about the sword? PS: I just read that you sold the katzbalger again. I would still be happy about a short assessment of the sword.

New sword from Sterling Armory, acquired at Combat Con. Wasn't planning on spending any money there, but both this sword and Albion's Cluny called my name, so I went with the one I could "afford."

Purna's gladii have arrived and took some quick photos of them, boy are they "alive" in the hand. My only complaint the scabbard brass is loose on one side, looks like the glue failed in shipping. I really like the look of that Pompeii gladius.
