More books, just arrived from the UK.
Only took two weeks via FedEx, while my parcel from Germany has been stuck in the postal service for 50 days now.
At least it'll give me something to read while I wait. There is a shipment of swords on its way as well so watch this space, the race is on... Pen vs Sword.

Last part of Holgers "birthday buys": CRKT "Berserker", coating stripped off, already modded and oiled up. Looking at the sheet: Thats all that supposes this axe head to hold? He didnt trust this, so he made a "locking wrap" with glued leather...

The "tacticool" part of our latest trade deal... A.P.O.C. "Brutus" tactical gladius! Feels really good, but too heavy as a single hand sword for me. Holger likes it! I don't suppose you have handled the wasteland gladius to compare it to?

My new hand-and-a-half sword from Sterling Armory. Kind of a short-bladed (32") XVIIIa. Feels absurdly great in the hands.

Not as exciting as the previous two, but still a fun one. Acquired second hand from LeMal.

Haha. The thread has been deleted but basically she got real upset when people didn’t agree with her views on climate change. There are a couple of arguments going on right now. It’s a real soap opera.

There is a shipment of swords on its way as well so watch this space, the race is on... Pen vs Sword. In the end in spite it being an almost photo finish, with the parcels arriving in country, within days of each other. The Pen beat the sword in this race.
Got a message from my wife that a parcel had arrived for me yesterday morning:
These, especially the book by Christian Blondieau, are THE reference books on French swords. The last is the set 'Armes Blanches Militaires Francaises' by Christian Aries. But the only copy I know of is listed at 1,500 euro so I will pass on it. Then in the afternoon at 17:04 I got a call from DHL that my parcel from the UK was ready to be collected, btw they closed at 18:00 and were halfway across town. Fortunatly I made it there with 10 min to spare, time they used up trying to locate my package in their warehouse
Some French cabbage choppers:
Some smallswords:
Some British 1796 Pattern cavalry swords:
Some French cavalry swords:
Better Photos on my blog.
I'll post better photos of each sword in the comming weeks.

Alientude - Nice swords! It’s good to know Sterling Armory does such nice work. An Albion is always a good piece to get. The CS might not be as prestigious, but it’s a decent rep for a rare type.
Bas - Oh, wow! Very nice acquisitions! Congratulations.

Bas, that is awesome, great acquisitions. Would love to read more on those, especially the 1796 cavalry swords.
