Yes, Holger just informed me on that Brookhart man; interesting. "Anglachel" does not compute; must check. For "Stormbringer" this is MUCH too small, dont you think? Dandelion I figured out why I thought of The Eternal Champion. The Frank Frazetta cover for Moorecock's The Silver Warriors has a very similar blade. The true black sword! Ah, i see... yes. Well, Holger always fantasizes of the Raven Armoury version, based on Rodney Matthews paintings - my favourite too! ravenarmoury.com/rmstormbringer.htmlAttachments:

The Matthews covers are cool! I've always been partial to the Michael Whelan ones for Elric. I have the original novelizations with his covers, so they have a special place in my heart.

This one is not a Windlass "grab" (pity), almost regular price - but hard to get by now! Seems it is discontinued, in Europe as well? Windlass, Windlass... "artificial supply reduction"; like Disney-DVDs and Blu-Rays... Holger already did a simple "cover-wrap" because he feels grip is too thin for him...

Ah, grip wraps! The 15th Cent. Longsword is one of the better handling Windlass swords, despite the lack of distal taper.

We have the number "3" on its way from Fabri Armorum in the czech republic; i would say a Dha/Daab interpretation? This piece is 105 cm long, blade is 75 cm, weighs 1,3 Kg (with blunt edge 2-3 mm, but Holger asked it to be sharpened - and not axe-sharpened, we will see how lighter it will be). More pix first hand when its here.

Frazetta, Matthews, & Whelan... you guys have great taste in art. If you checked my BG portraits, you'd see I use those very same images. They're some of my favorites. I've good art books full of them, posters in my garage.
Good taste!

...blade forged from an antique 19th century steel Bridge, has a unique almost iron grain on the surface and would be closer to historical steel then modern steel... en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Low-background_steel🙂 Very nice sword.

Ah, grip wraps! The 15th Cent. Longsword is one of the better handling Windlass swords, despite the lack of distal taper. Would like to commend you, Andi, and Dandelion and Holg on your respective re-wraps on your 15th Century Longsword. Both look really good! I have that same model, and its pretty well-balanced. If it lacks distal taper, it doesn't feel like it to me. This grip wrap looks really nice, Andi. It almost tempts me to get some different color tennis racket grip tape, and see how it all works out on some of my more used swords.
