The new revised falcatas by Deepeeka are finally in stock at Kult of Athena! They have nice deep fullers and look pretty good for repros but I'm not an expert with ancient Celtiberian swords.

Thanks for sharing. The falcata really looks quite interesting but I am not an expert with Iberian weapons as well. But is good to know that there are some falcata replicas out there. it is an interesting weapon I would not mind owning at some point in the future.

I really like this one! www.kultofathena.com/product/deepeeka-iberian-falcata-wood-grip/I've been researching more about it lately. The original is in the MET Museum in New York and is probably the finest known example to survive. Unfortunately, someone cleaned the patina off of it and placed a modern wooden grip on it. Deepeeka made several different falcatas with different grips and I think it would look great alongside a kukri knife. The only downside I can see from the pictures is the guard looks chunkier than the original and the fullers are not as crisp.

Sharp blades are good to have, if Shire-folk go walking, east, south, far away into dark and danger.

www.kultofathena.com/product/deepeeka-iberian-falcata-wood-grip/I purchased this the other day and I'm satisfied. If this is your first Falcata you can do worse. It's not overweight. The grip is tight so if you have large hands think twice. The blade shape and fullering are excellent on mine. The downside is the fit is off a bit, but nothing I could not fix with a good file and some time. Typical Indian mix of high quality and "what were they thinking" when they placed it in the shipping box. For the price, and it comes with a scabbard, this Falcata can't be beat.

I have the Windlass falcata and this looks very similar as far as blade shape and length and grip. Do you have that one as well? Just wondering how it compares. That's the reason I was leaning towards the kopis. A little longer and and more of a sirupate shaped blade.
