Is this list correct? Any changes/recommendations/updates?
Thanks!

The Tiberius? To me the most tempting one.

Welcome to the forum SinoSparo. I saw your interest in a gladii when OKing your application. I hope that our members will be helpful. It looks like Andi has you off to a good start.

I'm normally a Chinese sword guy and a huge LK Chen fan/collector, with both his Han Daos and both his Tang Daos (all straight sabers). But I decided to get a Deepeeka Delos Gladius, Xiphos, and Kingston Arms side sword for my first foray into European blades. I also plan to grab a H&H sword and a saber to round out my collection, but only after I get LK Chen's super lightweight Qi Jia Yao Dao.

The Fulham AH2007 and the Sword of Tiberius AH2008 are my favorite! I've been trying to decide between the two for some time myself!
The proportions of AH2008 are a little oversized and wide for a gladius. I'm not sure if this is historically accurate or not to the original in the British Museum.
The Romulus and Remus motif on AH2007 looks great and the scalloped pommel and guard matches well with the period.
The Deepeeka Xiphos looks good too! I really like the Korfu Greek Kopis as well but I would probably replace the leather sheath with something more accurate!

I agree, go for the Tiberius, AH2008. It's the most attractive to me too. The Romans had hundreds of years of experience with the gladius, and there's a fair bit of variation in the examples unearthed. So go for the one that looks the best to you. They would all be reasonably historically accurate.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've used Katanas, one handed Han Daos, and 1.5'er Tang Daos; and I found the latter to be my "comfort zone". For 1.5'ers that I'm lookin at, neither Hanwei Albrecht II or the Castle Erbach sword are 1:1 replicas, and I'm not sure Ronin Katana's Model #13 works as a 1.5'er. I guess we'll see

I briefly owned the Fulham gladius and believe it's one of the best swords. I definitely recommend it.

I had the same thought and I remember a YouTube video about the Hisp with such a blade. So I tried to find out more about the Hispanensis type and it looks like they were longer, more slender than the classic Mainz and less waisted. The Tiberius is less waisted but maybe to broad for a Hisp. But the blade is similar to the ones in Romancoins, rather the Speyer Museum one than the Tiberius. For me it's - combined with the no-bs hilt - the most accurate "early" Mainz. The grip could be thicker but that leaves more space for grip band. Btw. my Celtic ancestors (Vindelici) here in Bavaria were waiting eagerly to be conquered by THE Tiberius to get the red wine and floor heating from the Roman Empire, so VIVAT TIBERIUS...!

I'm not sure if this may help, but a thread I started a while back about the best Deepeeka swords: sbg-sword-forum.forums.net/thread/62341/deepeeka-gems But the more important part: "From what I remember, these are always held in high regard (*Edit - only adding ones that I've seen multiple positive comments on to help with subjective bias) : - Fulham Gladius (AH2007). - Tiberius Gladius (AH2008). - Silver Pugio (AH3264S). - Greek Xiphos (AH4236). - 15th Century Rondel Dagger (PRD101). - Type XIX Alexandria Arsenal Milanese Finger Guard Sword (PRS401). From my understanding, these models were developed with the help of the folks over at RAT Forum: - Fulham Gladius (AH2007). - Tiberius Gladius (AH2008). - 5th Century Feltwell Spatha (AH2009). - Mainz Wederath Gladius (AH3311E). " To add to this - i currently now own a Fulham (AH2007) and a Pompeii (AH4211B). From my research both of these fall within historical parameters in pretty much all aspects. Some of the most historically accurate gladii under $500.
