Judging by the casting quality, exposed wood core on the grip, both ends on one side, my guess would be not an antique and of questionable quality and value. And concur with Nox’s evaluation on figi’s rapier with the same manufacturer’s mark found in another thread titled “Help me plz identify my Spanish rapier”.

Maybe we could get the mods to move this to the Renaissance and Military sub board? I think it will get more exposure there. Need help in identifying the probable maker and era of a sword. The blade is 36.5" with a short fuller, overall it is 44"l and about, 2.45lbs. The ricasso mark on one side shows a hand and arm holding the blade of a sword that is extended almost like a cross. Attached at the opposite ricasso is an ancient Roman copper coin perhaps added by some later owner?
