Who are the custom makers out there for Chinese swords that won't cost me an arm and a leg?

I was considering spending the serious money for a Longship/Odinblade, but they aren't responding since December.
7 Stars is even more expensive.

Sinosword I've used before and like them

Art of Fire and Iron is vouched for by Sifu Scott Rodell for quality, though not as good as 7 Stars, he says (of course he does, 7 Stars is his outfit).

Who else do we have out there? Any individual makers anyone has used lately?

And I'm not talking someone who takes a stock blade and customizes it/adds fittings.

Ideally, I'm trying to keep it under $1k US, but I have a lot of flexibility.

I've never seen them, so can't vouch for quality.... but there are some people who hear Dragon King and hit the buy button.

I've always been interested in the Dragon King miao dao, it looks pretty solid and I really like the hilt design a lot for some reason. The Hanwei ones seem a bit on the short side and there was a recent bad first impression of one in the beginner's question subforum. As for other options, a lot of reviewers seem to like the miao dao by LK Chen, which can be found on Kult of Athena. If they do as good a job with the designs on large dao as they do with the couple of jian I own by them, it should perform extremely nicely.

Though not technically a miao dao, the 'crossbowman's dao' looks interesting as a Ming Dynasty take on a katana (and influence on later miao dao) and on the larger end of the spectrum they also make this 'plus size' 'imperial guard's' chang dao. I haven't seen any reviews for the crossbowman's dao, but over on youtube the imperial guard's dao was reviewed by The Scholar General and there's this comparison video of the miao dao and chang dao

And even at those prices, the semi-customs from Art of Fire and Iron are still my choice. I was hoping to find someone else out there.
