I know.... In your hand. ![::)](//storage.forums.net/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) But seriously, I'm used to firearms, where rigs are specific to the tool. Browsing KofA, I find that unless the scabbard comes with rings or straps, it's kind of make do. Any suggestions for a noob?

If you don't do leatherwork yourself... there are a lot of places that sell sword frogs and belts that are adjustable for many sizes of swords. I got a belt and frog I like very much from this place: www.theinnerbailey.com/swordbelts.htm Really nice people. You can also find al sorts of stuff on Ebay... but some of it is crap. This guy does pretty good work: stores.ebay.com/Oristian-Subculture Good luck.

Personally, I love a good baldric. VERY comfy, and easier to remove than a belt when you feel the urge to sit down and relax.
Plus, they work with pretty much any Western sword style, save for two-handers and possibly longswords. Badrics were used from the beginning of sword technology, right up until the very end.

Baldric. Mine is essentially like a long belt with large rings on each end that have straps attached. It can be used with just about any scabbard; and worn diagonally, as a belt or attached to a belt with the scabbard strapped on the back. Most I've seen look pretty versatile.

I do leatherwork to suit me, but I wanted to see what actually works before I build/modify for my own tastes. That said, thanks for the sites!
I'll probably order a frog just to see how it secures the scabbard.
I'm leaning toward a baldric as well. I made one to carry my RTAK and tomahawk side-by-side, which turned out to be handy when scrounging firewood while camping, as it doesn't interfere with the requisite pistol and/or rifle.
Thanks again. This is a great site for beginners like me.
