I recently bought one of the Ronin Katana arming swords and there is a thin dark line, possibly due to the guy buffing didn't want to touch the guard, but I have tried different cleaners, including WD-40 and Brasso without any success - The polish job on the blade is outstanding so I'm not sure I want to try and sand this mark out and then repolish by hand-- any suggestions?
I'm a new guy, here in Louisiana, I've been a collector of the mid-range medieval swords for years. I'm one of MRL old time customers--At present my collection is small, my main interest has been the arming swords and light weight one hand swords--

Sounds like a minor issue. My advice is to do your best to ignore and eventually forget about it. It's a minor cosmetic issue and if that is the worst of the sword's issues or flaws take a step back and enjoy the rest of the sword. Problem is those little minor imperfections tend to dig at people when they get a budget sword and next thing you know they're doing something drastic that potentially ruins the sword.

That is extremely good advice. Knowing that the blade is tempered, it makes sense that light careful sanding, followed by an attempt to blend into the factory polishing job will end in complete and total failure. So, living with it is what I will do- Thanks for the sensible reply!
