My new favorite sharp metal object: The looks kind of grew on me until I eventually caved and bought it. OAL: 39.7 cm / 15.6" Blade Length: 25.4 cm / 10" Spine Thickness: 2.8 mm Weight: 351 grams / 12.4 oz It's a little small for a true machete. Probably not ideal for days worth of brush clearing, but it seems like a nearly ideal large camp knife. It came very sharp and preliminary tests have shown it's a fierce cutter for its blade length. I imagine its thin spine and edge profile help in that regard. Penetration with thrusting is surprisingly good considering the fattish point. The knife is quite light so correspondingly quick in the hand. From pictures, I thought it had a Scandi grind but it actually has a secondary bevel, which is a little uneven so that's a minor quibble. I like the scabbard and the blade fits well in it, but it doesn't quite match the shape of the blade. All in all, I think its a very useful tool/weapon for outdoor adventures that won't encumber you with its heft or length. (Yes, I'm a Condor fanboy.)
