I got this axe, which fits pretty closely to a type D, from 'CoolToysUS,' a Ukrainian blacksmith on Etsy. What's especially neat about this is the handle, which is obviously pretty fancy compared to a lot of axe shafts you can get. The axe itself handles really well. It's quite light feeling in the hand, and the thickness and texture make it really comfortable to wield. I had him do a knot engraving on it, which is more Celtic, but I think it's pretty common for viking art to involve knots as well.

that's a fine piece of axe
both the Celts and the Scandinavians used knotwork designs extensively (all the cool kids were doing that back then)
