Just completed this fantasy dagger. The original blade blank was forged by Windlass, I altered the top where it enters the hilt, added a fuller to the blade, and hand etched the image on both sides. The handle I carved from alternating pieces of Bocote and African Blackwood with a carved brass guard, spacer, and pommel. Everything is aligned with interior steel pins on a threaded tang to complete the dagger's takedown construction. The sheath is handstiched 5 oz veg tanned leather, on which I carved the same knot design I etched upon the blade. The sheath was wet form molded to fit the blade. There are additional details and images on my website. Thanks for looking, Shawn Guildofthegildedhilt.com

Nicely done! Etching is really (impressively) clean looking

I really like the way the fittings look on that one. Good work, my man!

Thanks all for the very kind feedback. I really appreciate hearing people who have so much more experience with this kind of work than I have. This is a fairly new endeavor for me, but I am truely loving every minute of working on these creations. This has been a really fun and supportive group of fantasy blade enthusiasts.
Thanks again fro taking the time to comment,
