I just noticed this one recently. I like the simple utilitarian look of it.

Gladiator Sword - 501124
(vendor discription)
This gladiator sword is based on the Roman Maintz Gladius of the time, but with a much simpler hilt suitable for the slave who would wield it. Features an unsharpened high carbon steel blade, wood grip and antiqued brass guard and pommel. Includes a matching leather scabbard with antiqued brass accents.

Hello RicWilly,

It is a nice gladius, I like the blade on it and the antiqued finish, but the pommel shape reminds me of the superman logo...a more classical one would have been nicer, in my opinion...

Still, it is tempting...the mainz from MRL has this white grip...not too fond of it...and I'm looking myself for a gladius and/or short sword...

Are you thinking about getting it?
